London, 19 October 2017: Moody’s Analytics Knowledge Services hosted its 2017 Annual Offshoring Strategy Conference at the Grange City Hotel in London. The event was attended by over 120 delegates representing 78 firms across the financial sector in the UK and EMEA.
The theme of this year’s event was ‘Re-Imagine 2020: Empower. Innovate. Transform.’ Focusing on the future of innovation, the speakers addressed industry changes including structural, economic and regulatory reforms as well as the rise of new technologies and their overall effect on transforming businesses to create greater operational efficiencies.
The agenda comprised 18 sessions – 12 speaker sessions and 6 panel discussions. The first half of the event covered core topics affecting the industry including P&L innovation, best practices on offshoring strategy and machine learning. In the second half, attendees had the opportunity to select from four breakout tracks – Asset Management, Corporate and Investment Banking, Investment Research, and Corporates and Consulting – which offered a deep-dive into sector-specific trends.
Robert King, Executive Director and Global Head of Moody’s Analytics Knowledge Services, said: “We decided to bring our popular offshoring strategy event that was previously hosted in India over to London. The response was phenomenal, and we saw attendees from across the UK, Europe and even South Africa. Innovation and transformation are at the heart of what we do at the Knowledge Services unit of Moody’s Analytics. It is important to us to share and exchange ideas on the trends affecting the industry at this pivotal time as we embrace the role of technology and automation in defining new working environments. To this end, we recently launched Business Excellence and Automation Tools (our BEAT suite of solutions) – tools designed specifically to empower the financial services ecosystem with innovative front-office solutions. We are delighted that our flagship event provided useful insights on key topics affecting the industry as well as the opportunity to interact and network with peers.”
