  • The client is a leading US-based market-research (MR) firm, supporting businesses across sectors and geographies. The client wanted our assistance in understanding the importance of ESG when investing in FSI, tech and healthcare companies. Key areas in which the client wanted insights:
    • ESG investment outlook
    • ESG adoption
    • Customers and their perception of ESG
    • Size of ESG investments
    • Typical tenure/holding period willing to commit to

OUR APPROACH
  • We identified and reached out to the respondents, based on the abovementioned criteria. The following are the high points of the criteria and approach we adopted to obtain the required insights:
  • Criteria adopted:
    • A survey was conducted of ICI member companies in the US
    • Sample size was 300; 100 each in the FSI, tech and healthcare sectors
    • 30% from C-suite or senior management and 70% from manager/supervisor roles
    • Must have made an FSI, tech or healthcare purchase in the past year
  • Approach adopted:
  • Initial desk research:
    • Developed an understanding of the sector’s ESG climate
    • Assisted in the initial designing of the questionnaire
  • Data collection:
    • Programmed an interactive 15-minute online survey for customers
    • Delivered high-quality fieldwork within the stipulated timelines
  • Data analysis and reporting:
    • Basic statistical analysis, charts and graphs showcasing the findings of the survey in terms of the companies’ understanding, perception, participation and expectations relating to ROI
    • Key survey results in PPT format
