AXA IM launches global bond fund centring on carbon transition, seeded by Aon

AXA IM introduces a groundbreaking global bond fund focused on carbon transition, initiated by Aon. The AXA ACT Carbon Transition Global Short Duration Bond Fund employs active management, offering diverse global exposure and dynamic asset allocation across short-dated fixed income assets. It integrates AXA IM’s top-performing short-duration strategies to construct a comprehensive global portfolio. Driven by detailed fundamental analysis and strategic asset allocation, the fund aims for both financial returns and decarbonization. With a primary focus on investment-grade bonds, it also has the flexibility to explore high-yield and emerging market debt opportunities.

Aon, a leading professional services and investment consultancy, acknowledges AXA IM’s robust short-duration capabilities, ethical investment principles, and client-centric approach as key factors in initiating the fund. Nicolas Trindade, an experienced portfolio manager overseeing approximately €2 billion in global and sterling liquid short-dated fixed income strategies, will lead the management of this innovative open-ended fund. AXA IM’s expertise in short-dated credit management has earned accolades, including the Short-Dated Credit Manager of the Year award at the Professional Pensions Investment Awards 2023. Additionally, Nicolas received his first FE fundinfo Alpha Manager rating this year, further underscoring the fund’s potential for delivering exceptional performance.
