How to sync Seismic content with web delivery

Understanding the current landscape

Managing and publishing region-specific documents on websites is a core requirement for global businesses. Whether compliance disclosures, product brochures or legal documents, each market often requires tailored content. Traditionally, this task is handled manually, leading to duplicated efforts, inconsistencies and time-consuming update cycles.

At Acuity, we encountered this challenge first-hand. With every update, all content versions had to be reproduced, re-uploaded manually and distributed with fresh links. As the volume of regions serviced increased, this process became inefficient and unreliable.

As a solution, we leveraged Seismic’s LiveDoc eXpress (LDX) feature, combined with variant logic, to streamline the complete process. This led to the creation of a reliable, semi-automated system that significantly reduces manual intervention while ensuring the web always reflects the updated content.

Limits of the manual process

Earlier, each LiveDoc was automated to produce different regional outputs using Forms on Seismic. Though customised content creation was achievable, every output still had to follow the below steps each time:

The following setbacks arose from this process:

• High operational overhead due to repetitive manual actions

• Risk of inconsistencies between internal source files and externally shared content

• Lack of scalability for future regional expansion

The Shift to automated delivery

To overcome these challenges, we implemented a scalable approach using LDX’s document automation and variant file features.

Each document is associated with a structured file containing information on all variants based on properties such as region and fund. Once the LDX generation hits on demand or on schedule, the files are automatically generated and uploaded to their specified folders, each of which is tied to a persistent handler link that is already embedded in public-facing platforms. So even if the source content changes, there’s no need to re-upload or update links externally – the changes are reflected automatically.

Our only role will be to initiate the document generation from LDX with just a few clicks.

This solution delivers long-term value across three key areas:

• Scalability: New regions or parameters can be added with minimal effort

Value realised and future scope

With this refined process in place, our internal teams have reduced publishing-related efforts by over 70%. More importantly, we have ensured that the latest content reaches each region promptly and reliably, without added administrative tasks.

The approach has improved cross-team alignment as well. Content owners, marketing teams and digital channels are now synchronised through a shared, automated pipeline.

Looking ahead, this framework is highly expandable. Additional document types or markets can be integrated simply by updating the variant file – no need for new tools or re-engineered workflows. It lays the foundation for a global content management strategy that is lean, agile and built to scale.
