  • The client is a Southeast Asian based steel manufacturing company operating advanced, high-capacity manufacturing facilities in the region. The company delivers a broad and diversified product portfolio that serves key sectors including construction, oil and gas, and automotive industries
  • The client wanted Acuity team to consult on developing an ESG governance framework to integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations into company’s decision-making processes and day-to-day operations
  • The client also wanted Acuity team to draft ESG policies and procedures to align the organization with company’s ESG goals

  • Understanding existing ESG governance and related policies
    • Detailed discussions with company’s key stakeholders (internal and external) to understand the current flow of command and accountability on ESG related matters
    • Analysis of information received along with peer analysis to find the most suitable ESG governance structure
  • Suggest on creation of ESG committee and task force with defined responsibilities
    • Consult on creation of a dedicated ESG committee of board members with defined roles focusing on overseeing implementation and monitoring of company’s ESG strategy
    • Suggest on creation of an ESG taskforce with defined roles for day-to-day activities to achieve ESG goals, sales and service strategy for multiple products and services
  • Drafting ESG policies and procedures
    • Draft ESG policy to showcase company’s commitment to integrate ESG principles into its operationsDrafting ESG policies and procedures
    • Draft code of conduct for employees and suppliers with principles to be followed by each employee/supplier to ensure compliance to company’s overall ESG outlook
