Dark times: Lower-grade office stock is weighing down portfolios across Europe — but offloading or improving assets is no easy task

Rajeev Hota, Associate Director, Acuity Knowledge Partners, recently shared his expert insights on office properties and real estate conversions with @Institutional Real Estate Europe. According to him, investors can gain a better yield through converting offices to residential properties than maintaining a building as an office.

“There could be some arbitrage there. We have seen that those who have almost 70 percent of their portfolios in commercial real estate now want to diversify. They can do this be either exiting or converting.” he says.
