Global i-bank trading income contracts in Q2 as market normalization stings

S&P Global | August 14, 2023

Mohit Mittal, Director Investment Research, Acuity Knowledge Partners, recently shared his views about normalization in markets for higher interest rates with S&P Global Market Intelligence. He firmly believes that markets have already priced in the risks associated with the downgrade and the actions by the Japanese central bank. He also notes that the second half of the year is typically a time of lower volatility in the markets.

‘The second half will likely experience some increase in market volatility but not to levels seen in the first quarter,’ he comments.
