Fundraising optimism remains high despite fierce competition

Private equity and venture capital firms are largely optimistic of their fundraising prospects for the year ahead despite facing an increasingly packed field of cash-hungry rivals.
More than two-thirds of PE and VC businesses are looking to raise new funds while another 17% think that they may do so, according to a new survey produced by consultancy Acuity Knowledge Partners.
