Copal Amba hosts event on Model Risk Management in New York

Copal Amba hosted a breakfast event on Model Risk Management at the Grand Hyatt in New York on Thursday, June 16. The interactive event featured Daniel Ward, Head of CIB US Model Risk Management, BNP Paribas, an industry veteran on model use and development. The session brought together senior executives from across the industry, including CROs, heads of model risk and other risk functions, and senior risk professionals from banks and other financial firms to discuss and debate the latest trends governing model risk.

Daniel spoke extensively on the key issues of an effective enterprise model risk management framework and also fielded questions from the audience. His session covered setting up an effective enterprise model risk management framework, reconciling SR11-7 with large FBO MRM programs, understanding the staffing arms race and comprehending the importance of industry collaboration.
