Colombo, Sri Lanka: 20th October, 2020

One of the staff members from our Colombo office (World Trade Centre) has tested positive for COVID-19 after completing a PCR test conducted by government health authorities.

The staff member’s father tested positive for the virus initially and, as advised by health authorities, PCR testing was conducted for all other close contact family members thereafter.

We have informed all staff members who visited our office premises within the same timeframe as the affected staff member. Staff members who were in direct contact with the affected staff member will be undergoing PCR testing on an immediate basis. Additionally, both the government and the World Trade Centre’s contact tracing protocols are being implemented, and the company is providing all assistance required.

The health and safety of our staff and our responsibility towards the wider community have been and remain our priority since the onset of the virus in the country. All employees have been provided work-from-home access and facilities in line with company policy. The office has also been open to staff on an opt-in basis at limited capacity from 11-May-2020, in line with government regulations.

We are supporting our affected staff member and family with the assistance and care they require for a swift recovery.
